An Indian student was reportedly shot in the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv. Union Minister VK Singh gave this information to news agency ANI on Thursday. The incident comes a few days after a student was killed in Russian shelling. A student has been shot in the middle of efforts to escape from the stranded Indian students in Ukraine. A student returning from the capital Kyiv was shot and was taken halfway back to Kyiv for treatment.
“Today, we heard reports that a student who had left Kyiv was shot. He was taken back to Kyiv. It’s all happening in a fight,” VK Singh, a Union minister who was present in Poland, told the media. Posted in neighboring countries of Ukraine, to help send students back to India. The minister is sending the students to India by special flights in contact with the officials of the neighboring countries of Ukraine. India has started Mission Ganga to rescue the students trapped in Ukraine.
Ukraine will not allow the situation to happen in the Indo-Pacific: On March 1, an Indian medical student, Naveen Shekharappa, was killed in a gunfight in the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv. Naveen had gone to the supermarket to buy food for himself and fellow students. Naveen’s body has not yet reached India. Naveen’s father is constantly demanding from the central government that his son’s body should be brought to India in some way.
Earlier on Wednesday, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Russian President Vladimir Putin over the phone and discussed the evacuation of Indian students trapped in Ukraine. Indian students stranded in Kharkiv complained on Wednesday that they were being stopped from leaving. Some students said that they were not allowed to board the train or were dropped. Some students also complained of beating.
