Sacking Season has started as Steven Gerrard gets on the list of sacked managers. Aston Villa sack the Englishman and are set to replace him with Unai Emery. AVFC paid the release clause of 6 million euros for Unai Emery, while Villarreal is in talks with former FC Barcelona manager Quique Setien.
Unai Emery has decided to part ways with Spanish club Villarreal FC after agreeing to take over Aston Villa in England. Aston Villa sacked Ex-Liverpool player/legend Steven Gerrard after 11 months. The scouse manager was sacked after his Villa team lost 3-0 to Fulham.
Aston Villa had just 2 victories in 11 games and lost 6 times. Aston Villa is currently sitting in the bottom six, with just 3 victories in 12 games. Aston Villa has announced Unai Emery as their new manager. Emery returns to the Premier League after getting sacked by Arsenal in November 2019. Emery was announced as the Arsenal manager in 2018 following the retirement of Arsene Wenger. Arsenal sacked him after his team lost to Eintracht Frankfurt.
Unai Emery Etxegoien is a Spanish football manager and former player. He is considered one of the best coaches in the world and has won the Europa League three times, as well as winning the Ligue 1 title and the Coupe de France. Emery began his managerial career at Valencia in 2008, where he spent two seasons before moving to Spartak Moscow in 2010. He then spent one season at Sevilla, where he won the Europa League, before moving to Paris Saint-Germain in 2016.
He won the Ligue 1 title and the Coupe de France in his first season at the club but was sacked in his second season after failing to win the Champions League. Emery is known for his attacking style of play and has been praised for his tactical knowledge and ability to develop young players. He has also been criticized for his use of rotation and failure to win the Champions League.
Unai Emery then took the Spanish team Villarreal FC. He led the yellow submarines to their maiden Europa League title in 2021. His team defeated Manchester United in the finals. Villarreal took the lead in the 29th minute thanks to Gerard Moreno’s back post header. The Red Devils equalized through Cavani in the 55th minute but lost the finals in the penalties 11-10. Before taking over Arsenal, Emery was in charge of the French team Paris Saint Germain. He was responsible for transferring Mbappe and Neymar Jr. He left PSG in May 2018.
Aston Villa decided to pay the release clause of 6 million euros for Unai Emery. The deal is set to be based on his long-term availability. He is going to be backed with a lot of funds in the upcoming transfer windows. Emery is set to earn 7 million euros per season. The primary objective of this new appointment is to improve the squad.

After he gets his work permit in order, Unai will take over on November 1.
Villarreal is in talks with former FC Barcelona manager Quique Setien. The Spaniard is looking likely to take over. Quique Setien formerly managed Real Betis and FC Barcelona. Villarreal is convinced that they will hire Quique Setién as their new head coach within the next few hours since Setién is actively communicating with president Roig. It’s just a matter of details, as the replacement for Unai Emery seems to be a former coach of Barcelona.
