Marcus Rashford Rock- solid form continues as Manchester United drubbed Leicester city in 3-0 win
The Red Devils took on the Foxes at the old Trafford on Sunday Evening. Marcus Rashford scored two goals to help Manchester United win 3-0 against Leicester City, in a game that saw the home team dominate early on, before Leicester started counterattacking.
Rashford’s first goal, which came in the first half, made him the first United player to score in seven consecutive Premier League home games since Wayne Rooney in 2010. His second goal, in the second half, came after he received a pass from Fred and beat Danny Ward through the goalkeeper’s legs.

Jadon Sancho also scored a goal for United, after a good sequence of passes involving Rashford and Bruno Fernandes. Leicester had several chances to score but were unable to take them. Manchester United’s win puts them in a good position for their upcoming matches, which include a Europa League playoff second leg against Barcelona and a Carabao Cup final against Newcastle.
United’s Goalie David marked his 180 clean sheets for united. The Spaniard has been in fine form ever since the start of the season and has been unbeatable between the sticks for united, boosting confidence and garnering praise from the teammates, coaching staff and fans alike.
With the clean sheet, De Gea has equalled Peter Schmeichel’s clean sheet record for Manchester United.
United will take on Barcelona on February 24 at Old Trafford for the 2nd leg of the Europa League following hard efforts from both sides that ended in spectacular fashion with a 2-2 draw in the 1st leg.
As a result, consolidating the drubbing win over the Foxes could mean nothing more than bolstering United’s mentality on and off the field in preparation for a performance against the Spanish giants on Friday.
