A total of 57 assembly seats in the state of Uttar Pradesh is to be held for polling, outrighting the elections for the sixth phase.
The sixth phase is crucial for all the political parties as it includes some of the significant seat-gaining constituencies that may help them win the UP-assembly elections. The districts that went through polling in the current phase include Ambedkar Nagar, Balarampur, Siddarthnagar, Basti, Sant Kabir Nagar, Gorakhpur, etc. These districts have a majority of the seats for the political parties such as the Samajwadi Party, the Bahujan Samaj Party, and the Bharatiya Janata Party.
The state electoral commissioner also said on Tuesday, “As the election is coming to an end, the state is witnessing a U-turn for the winning situation.” Adding to this, he said that “people and we both are very curious to know that who will win the Uttar Pradesh Election and would return to power for next five years.” The fray of elections in UP is relatively high because people in the state are more curious to know the election result. While the Janata is waiting for their new Chief Minister to reveal, the political leaders are trying their level best to cherish their good works in the mind of the voters.
The stake case of Gorakhpur Urban
The sixth phase will give the ultimate lookout for the Uttar Pradesh elections. Especially Samajwadi Party and BJP, two of the biggest rivals and strongest political parties, face each other in these elections. At the same time, the Bharatiya Janata Party has Yogi Adityanath as their primary candidate; the Samajwadi Party has Akhilesh Yadav as their primary persona. The political parties have held a public meeting throughout the action, interacted personally with the media houses, and tried to convince people about their delivered message.
The polling of the sixth phase would be one of the crucial elements that will add up to the Uttar Pradesh Elections. For the most part, Gorakhpur Urban is included in this phase, while Sant Kabir Nagar and Siddarthnagar have minor importance. The Gorakhpur constituency would play its game because Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is standing from that constituency. The battle would be towed to tusk tussle between BJP and the Samajwadi Party; now, even Samajwadi Party wants to conquer this region for a safe win of the assembly elections.
The Sixth Phase (UP phase) information
Talking about the current information that is being provided, then 676 prominent candidates are contesting elections in the sixth phase, while the incumbent CM Yogi Adityanath is contesting elections from Gorakhpur Urban, SP Singh Baghel is contested elections from the Karhal constituency, which was yet another critical assembly constituency during that phase. Rest others are contesting their elections from the different constituencies and different areas. A total of 57 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh spread over almost ten districts would poll these constituencies from 7 A.M. till 6 P.M. on Thursday. Among these candidates, there is also state Congress president Ajay Kumar Lallu (Tamkuhi Raj), Swami Prasad Maurya, the minister who quit his post to join the Samajwadi Party, and last but not least, the leader of the opposition in the state assembly and senior Samajwadi Party leader Ram Govind Chaudhary.
As the political temperature is rising over a month in Uttar Pradesh, people are also getting restless to know who will sit on the throne of Uttar Pradesh. The sixth phase has a legitimate value to contribute to the UP-assembly elections. The 57 seats, reserved seats for the sixth phase, are significant for Bharatiya Janata Party; in 2017, the BJP won 46 seats, which gives the party a stronghold over this phase of elections. Lastly, coming to the total vote of the sixth phase, including all the twelve districts, the total number of voters in this phase is more than 2.14 crore in Uttar Pradesh.
