Mayawati, the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader, has asked voters in Uttar Pradesh to vote out the ruling party because it has made false promises about delivering jobs.
In a series of tweets, BSP president Mayawati stated that the current party must be replaced to rid the country of the BJP’s false promises.
“Ruling party’s wrong policies which made the poor people more poorer, should not be trusted anymore and that BSP should be trusted,” she added in another tweet.
Mayawati also added, “the biggest failure of the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) is not being able to provide employment to the people. In fact, the employment opportunities that were there were also snatched away from the people.”
On Sunday, 59 assembly seats across 16 districts in Uttar Pradesh will go to the polls in the third phase of the election. There are 627 contestants in the race.
In the third round of the Assembly elections, almost 2.16 crore voters will exercise their right to vote at 25,794 voting places and 15,557 polling stations.
