Ice Spice is the stage name of American rapper Isis Najda Gaston. She is 23 years old and currently lives in East Fortham Road, New York.
She was born in Bronx, NYC. Her parents divorced when she was 2 years old.
She attended State University of New York at Purchase, but dropped out during her sophomore year.
Ice rose to fame when her song “Name of Love” gained popularity on SoundCloud. Another song, “Munch (feelin’ u),” peaked at music charts and gained nods from established artists.
After meeting a record producer named RiotUSA in 2021 when both were students at the State University of New York at Purchase, Ice Spice began rapping. Her song "Bully Freestyle," which was released in March 2021, was her debut.
She frequently pens songs with artists like Nicki Minaj, Taylor Swift, PinkPantheress, RiotUSA, Sounwave, and many more.
Some of her most notable tracks includes Boy’s a Liar pt. 2, In Da Hood, Princess Diana (with Nicki Minaj), and Barbie World (with Aqua).
In February 2024, she collaborated with Lil Tjay on his tribute Song “Gangsta Boo”. In May, She appeared as a featured artist in Taylor’s Swift “Karma (ft. Ice Spice).”
