What will Vikram lander and pragyan rover do on the moon?

After the Successful soft landing of Chandrayaan 3 on moon there is a question that what happen's next.

The Pragyan rover will come out of the lander and will roam on the surface of the moon.

The rover  is equipped with two payloads: Alpha Particle X-ray Spectrometer (APXS) and Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscope (LIBS).

APXS will determine the elemental composition of the lunar soil  around the landing site  on the Moon’s south pole,

LIBS will perform experiments to determine the chemical and mineral composition of the Moon’s surface.

The rover will send the data to the lander and the lander will sent the data back to earth via the Chandrayaan-2 orbiter.

The rover will roam on the moon for the 14 days( 1 lunar day) on the moon then there will be night on the moon for 14 days.

And on the lunar night the temperature drops below -150 degree Celsius and there will be no sunlight available for 14 days.

And as the lander and rover works through solar panel they will stop working after the lunar night.

If the lander and rover survive the lunar night  it might be possible for them to get revived when the lunar day breaks and solar power is available,

Thanks for watching
