Education is the only treasure that cannot be robbed. In simple, it is the greatest weapon of all. Children should get an education as it guarantees their outlook on life will be the same. Education makes the person individually strong and motivates them to approach the world with a positive attitude.
Why do many discontinue studies?
People from all walks of life have the right to get educated but the thing is that not all people can afford it. Middle-class people who manage to make it to high school find it hard to make it to colleges or universities due to the price the charges. Poverty-stricken people who cannot afford their children’s education deprive children of their education. Instead of holding pen, they take the role of child labour. This is the basis why the poor remains poor.
Can education withstand poverty?
Education should be accessible to every people despite their class differences. Statistics show that many discontinue their studies in the middle due to financial debt which greatly affects their physical and mental status. Poor children then turn out to be more aggressive at the same time vulnerable and subsequently find some illegal ways to meet their daily needs. This increases the unemployment rate.
When one gets educated, he gains knowledge and skills which mould them into a better human. When education becomes accessible to everyone despite the differences it becomes the stepping stone for a caste-free society. When children from impoverished backgrounds get educated it paves way for building a better society and bringing awareness about the importance of education. In this era getting an education is significant not only as their basic right but also as a means of survival.
Pros and Cons of free education:
Pros:
1] No room for child labour:
One of the major reasons for the increase in child labour is that they are unable to provide the fee. No other go they end up being child labour. If free education is provided, all get the chance to study and probably there will be no room for child labour.
2] Pave way for future betterment:
When all the students get access to study it paves way for a better society. Some students turn vulnerable and sometimes aggressive when they cannot afford the course they desire. As a result, there are chances of them taking the wrong decisions. Many remain unemployed. If free education comes into practice they get to study whatever they wish for.
3] Education – Major Focus:
Many students work while studying to pay their study loans. In that case, their concentration distracts them and might find it hard to balance both. This affects their physical and mental health. If education is free, they can concentrate on their studies without any obstacles and distractions.
4] Caste-free society:
When all get access to study irrespective of class differences, it paves way for a caste-free society. When everyone sits together and gains knowledge there is no place for caste, race, or religion.
Cons:
1] Free Education – degrade the worth:
When free education is accessible, there are chances of people taking it for granted without acknowledging the actual value. People who are unaware of the actual worth of the degree and study for the names sake attitude greatly affect the students who actually study for future betterment.
2] Will there be quality in education and teaching?
One of the greatest concerns is that will there be a quality of education and teaching. If education is free, the teaching system might differ. The teacher might find it difficult to handle all stuff in a go. Therefore, the outcome might not be the same as expected.
3] Irresponsibility:
There are chances of students being irresponsible if free education is provided. Students who once worked hard to pay the fee might take this free education system for granted and acts irresponsible.
Providing free education to all has its own pros and cons. In the end, the pros succeed the cons when everyone’s notion is to work hard towards the development of the country.
What happens if free education comes into practice?
In this digital world, only educated peoples get more opportunities to work wherever they please and are highly paid. They lead a happy, healthy, wealthy life. Uneducated people remain uneducated and everything seems odd to them. Sometimes intelligent brains don’t get access to study due hike in money, in that case, it is not just his loss but the loss of the nation.
In that case, if education is free for everyone irrespective of age, race, or colour, all get access to learn and write. Eventually, everyone works hard and contributes to the welfare of the nation. If everyone gets an education there will be no room for poverty, child labour and so on which somehow helps the nation to become a developed country sooner or later.
