Wrestler Sushil Kumar arrested by Delhi Police in Murder Case


Twice winning Olympic champion Indian wrestler Sushil Kumar was charged for his role in the murder of a fellow wrestler and was arrested by Delhi police this morning. 

Sushil Kumar was arrested along with a co-defendant from the Mondeka area, the national capital. Police were looking for Sushil Kumar for his alleged role in the death of a 23-year-old fighter at the Delhi stadium.

“Supervised by Inspector Shivkumar, Inspector Karambir and ACP Attar Singh by Task Force SR Special Forces, Sushil Kumar, and Ajay in the Mundka district of Delhi were arrested because they killed Sagar Rana, 23 years old, at Chhatrasal Stadium Wrestler.

According to police, Sushil Kumar and his associates were accused of assaulting fellow wrestler Sagar Rana, 23, and two of his friends at the national capital’s Chhatrasal Stadium. All three had to be hospitalized, and Mr. Rana later died of his injuries.
