Amid all the state-of-the-art security measures and equipment, a stranger was able to breach the VIP convoy protecting the German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. The person gave the chancellor a heart hug just as he was about to board a plane from Frankfurt Airport.
The person was able to join the Chancellor’s security convoy undoubtedly and the security personnel was able to realize this only later. The person was chased down and detained however authorities have declined from releasing any further information on the incident for tactical reasons.

The office of the German Chancellor has confirmed in an official statement, that the incident did indeed take place. They stated that an investigation has been initiated into the incident which is of grave importance. They added that no individuals were hurt in the incident.
German police have been left stunned by the incident and the fact that the person was not only able to breach initial levels of security but also reach a very close range to the chancellor was highly alarming.

The German Chancellor Mr. Olaf Scholz was attending the 25th-anniversary celebrations of the European Central Bank. Late Wednesday the chancellor was boarding the plane from Frankfurt Airport and at the time, the stranger was able to come close to the chancellor and hugged him.
The Security personnel of the Chancellor chased him down and detained him after the incident. The German police also refused to release any further details on the incident which has left the entire security measures under question.

From attempts to ideological dialogues and instances of mental health issues, many individuals have tried to sabotage the security measures of premiers and other public figures. Some such incidents are ;
1.2009 State Dinner :
Tareq and Michaele Salahi, a married couple from Virginia, were able to breach two security points and enter the White House. They were able to meet President Obama and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh at the state dinner held for the Indian premier. The Salahis were accompanied by a person called Carlos Allen, a native of the District of Columbia. The uninvited couple was able to breach even the security checkpoint that required photo identification. The incident lead to vast discussions on Presidential security and caused many legal inquiries.
2. 1978 White House Breach :

Anthony Henry was a 35-year-old individual who tried to intrude into the White House wearing a karate uniform. He tried to scale the White House fence to do so. He wanted to convince President Carter to remove the words ” in god we trust ” from the US currency notes.
3. Assasination attempt on President Reagan

On the 30th of March 1981, President Reagan had to face the bullets of John Hinckley jr in Washington, D.C.It was found that the person had developed an Erotomaniac obsession with the American actress Jodie Foster and believed that the attack would impress her. The President and two of his staff members were seriously injured but the doctors at George Washington University Hospital were able to stabilize him.
4. Assassination attempt on Argentine Vice President:

This is one of the recent events in assassination attempts. Just outside her official residence in Buenos Aires, Argentine Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner became the victim of an attempted assassination. While meeting her supporters, a man approached her and tried to fire semi-automatic pistol inches from her face.
The pistol however failed to fire and security personnel were quick to apprehend the suspect. The person was identified as Fernando André Sabag Montiel, a Brazilian-born individual living in Argentina since 1993. It is believed that the assassination was motivated by a move against the Vice President who was facing serious corruption charges.
5. July, 1982 breach of Buckingham Palace.

A 34-year-old man named Michael Fagan, intruded into Buckingham Palace scaling the 14-foot-high perimeter wall. Mr. Hagan aimed at having a dialogue with the Queen and returned as he was unable to do so in the previous attempt.
The charges on Mr. Fagan were dropped owing to his psychiatric condition. He was released on 21st January 1983 after being treated in a psychiatric hospital for 3 months.
