WHY DRONE ACTIVITY IS INCREASING NEAR INDIA-PAKISTAN BORDER?
This year BSF has shot down more than 10 drones on the border of Pakistan and more than 150 drone activities have been spotted. But the question is why is there so much drone activity near the border?
According to the Indian Express, among other illegal activities, illegal arms, ammunition, and drug supply have always been a concern from the international borders and specifically from the Pakistan side of the border. These drones are also being used for air-dropping drugs, arms, and ammunition. They are also used for surveying and spying in these areas. This kind of drone smuggling was first noticed in 2019.
