According to data published on Thursday by the Union Health Ministry, India reported a daily increase of 200 new coronavirus infections while the number of active cases dropped to 3,767.
The total tally of Covid cases in the country stands at 4.46 crore (4,46,75,447).
The data updated at 8 am showed that the total death toll had increased to 5,30,663 with five fatalities, three of which were reconciled by Kerala and one each from Karnataka and Maharashtra on the most recent day.
According to the health ministry website, the national COVID-19 recovery rate has increased to 98.80%, and active cases make up 0.01 percent of all infections.
In the last 24 hours, there have been 79 fewer cases added to the active COVID-19 caseload.
The total number of patients who recovered from the virus rose to 4,41,41,017, and the rate of case fatalities was 1.19 percent.
The website of the ministry reports that as of this writing, the statewide COVID-19 vaccination program had provided 219.98 crore doses of the Covid vaccine in the nation.
On August 7, 2020, India’s COVID-19 total had reached 20 lakh. On August 23, it reached 30 lakh. On September 5, it reached 40 lakh. On September 16, it reached 50 lakh.
India exceeded the dismal two crore milestone on May 4, three crore on June 23, and four crores on January 25 of the current year.
