Incident at Bhajanpura
A 36-year-old senior manager of Amazon was killed by a group of 4 to 5 attackers equipped with weapons.Â

The victim Harpreet Gill was shot in the head from point-blank range along with his relative Govind Singh in Bhajanpura’s Subhash Vihar which is located in northeast Delhi on Tuesday at 11:30 pm.Â

How did it happen?
According to police, the names of the five arrested accused are 18-year-old Mohd Sameer urf Maya, Bilal Gani, 23-year-old Sohail urf Bawarchi, 19-year-old Adnan urf Don and 23-year-old Mohammed Junaid urf Biryani.

The accused were attending a party at Bilal Gani’s house that night. At 10:30 p.m., they stepped out of Bilal’s house for a ride.
The five accused on Tuesday traveled inside a small bylane in the Bhajanpura area.Â
Eventually after halting in different places, the accused on their scooters entered Gali number 8/4, Subhash Vihar Bhajanpura area which happens to be a narrow lane.Â
The victim Harpreet Gill and his uncle were coming from the opposite side, resulting in the blocking of the narrow lane.Â
In that lane according to the NDTV report, only one vehicle can pass at a time. The perpetrators were traveling from opposite directions.Â
Harpreet Gill at that time was also traveling on his bike. As a result, it triggered a fight between Gill and the accused as neither was willing to move back so that other vehicles could pass smoothly.Â
As a result, Bilal Gani and his companions became angry. The aggressive Mohammed Junaid slapped Harpreet.Â
According to DCP, DCP revealed to NDTV, that when Gill and Govind Singh tried to reason with them, Mohd Sameer shot at their respective heads.Â
According to locals, men also fired in the air and fled from the area.
After they heard the noise, they found Gill in a pool of blood and this is when someone called for the police.Â
How police caught one of them
Police learned about this murder from the hospital at 11:53 p.m.Â

Police said that the forensic teams at the spot found three empty cartridges of 7.65mm.Â
Then the police looked for various angles of this incident. The robbery was ruled out by them as their precious items were all intact.Â
Then they started examining the angle of personal enmity in this case.Â
Later, they checked the footage from the area’s CCTV cameras in order to check the route used by the shooters.Â
A senior police officer to Times Of India revealed that in one of the videos they saw the attackers entering the lane on the scooter and one of the riders had covered his face with the help of a handkerchief.Â
With the help of local and technical intelligence, they learned about one Maya Gang. After finding their homes empty, the police realized they were lying low.Â
During their investigation, the gang members were found to be juveniles.Â
After that, the cops contacted shelter homes for further details on juvenile perpetrators.Â
Eventually, the Police managed to make their first arrest. An 18-year-old Bilal Gani was arrested near the Signature Bridge at 2 a.m. The first accused was also previously involved in the robbery of a Scooter from a person in 2022.Â
Current Status of Remaining accused and the victimsÂ
According to police, efforts are being made to catch the remaining members in connection with this case.
DCP of Northeast Delhi Joy Tirkey said they have registered a case of murder and one case under the Arms Act as the perpetrators were found with pistols.Â
