The long-running dispute over pay, conditions, and jobs will play a part in the effective shutting down of the railway network, as per RMT. In the UK more than 40,000 workers from the Rail Network and other 15 train operators will be on strike again on the 8th of October.
The railway network has asked the passengers to expect a slight disruption in their matters of traveling and they have also advised them to travel only if it is absolutely necessary. It will be coming just after an even bigger strike conducted by the members of RMT and the train drivers union Aslef.
They have also informed us that the full timetable of the many upcoming strikes will be published soon. With the rising cost of living, large-scale walkouts of unions have asked for an increase in their respective pay in order for them to help their living.
Biggest strike
In June which was not very long ago, the biggest strike of 30 years was conducted which disrupted the continuous comfortable flow of the railway network.
This strike will be affecting the staff member’s incomes which are already messed up by industrial action over the summer and by alienated customers.
Prime Minister Liz Truss has told the striking rail staff to “get back to work”. She insisted that she wants to take a constructive approach and therefore told the workers to end their industrial action in order to prevent any further disruptions.
