October has already come, and with it comes an exceptional line-up of OTT shows sure to excite and intrigue. With Diwali just around the corner, it’s no surprise that festivities take center stage. But you do not need to worry if your plans get postponed—a selection of cheerful releases and heartfelt narratives will have you veiled.
First stop: Werewolf by Night. The latest installment of the MCU comes with a room full of claps by critics for its being very distinct from the typical superhero movies we are used to.
Other options to watch, have look at The Midnight Club, a series that is terrifying although meaningful.

Cabinet of Curiosities by Guillermo del Toro
Guillermo del Toro made films like Pan’s Labyrinth and The Shape of Water, yes the man behind that magnificent film. His work, recognizable for its unique blend of fairytale and horror, often highlights the beauty in the grotesque. Sophisticated and sinister at the same time, his newest release is an anthology series that features eight unique stories that push the boundaries of the genre of classic horror. Two episodes are original stories by Del Toro himself, while the rest are from some of modern horror’s most celebrated creators.
Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities will be available on Netflix from 25 October.
The Midnight Club
A group of friends meets every night to tell share some crazy stories. With not enough time, a pact gets made between them: the first to die has to send a sign from the grave to beyond. But when the first person dies from that group, then the occurrences started. This series is an adaptation of the 1994 novel of the same name by Chris Pike. This series is created by Mike Flanagan, the celebrated horror filmmaker—of The Haunting of Hill House fame. Beneath its dread premise, expect a series that takes an emotional dive into the human condition and the meaning of life.
The Midnight Club is available on Netflix from 7 October.
Raymond and Ray
Ewan McGregor and Ethan Hawke starring films are compelling to all of us and this one is also from that category. In Raymond and Ray, the pair take on the roles of unusual half-brothers coming together after the death of their abusive father. Their father’s last wish was that both of the sons dig his grave, but this came out quite astonishingly. McGregor and Hawke both complemented each other perfectly, the film invites you on a journey of self-discovery rooted in a family.
Raymond and Ray will be available on Apple TV+ from 21 October.
Werewolf by Night
The MCU has finally launched its first horror story. A marvelous continuation of its foray into the genre, Werewolf by Night starts with a secret faction of monster hunters gathering at the ominous Bloodstone Temple after the death of their leader. There, the attendees got into a deadly competition for a powerful antique, a hunt that will lead them to a dangerous monster. This show played homage to the monster movies of the ‘30s and ‘40s.
Werewolf by Night is available on Disney+ from 7 October.
Jerusalem
the plot is based on the Old City of Jerusalem, this thriller explores the thickness of corruption, politics, faith, and power that make up the holiest city in the world, Jerusalem. The plot is about officers of the David District, who prepare for two holy days in the Islamic and Jewish calendars, which, in a matter of coincidence, turn out to be on the same day. As the celebrated occasion gets closer to its day, some far-from-ideal situations arise when the authorities discover plans for a war in preparation.
