24 seats of Lok Sabha is of eastern states of our India. Arunachal, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Tripura are the 7 states.
Currently, 14 out of 24 seats belong to BJP but at the ground level, regional parties and Congress are also not in very weak condition. BJP knows what it means…today PM Modi is visiting Tripura & Meghalaya to inaugurate projects of more than Rs. 6800 crores.
It is interesting to take such conditions or acts by Bhartiya Janta Party as preparation for the general election of 2024.
India is the largest democracy in the world. We celebrate elections throughout the year. Recently, the MCD election and election for Gujrat’s government passed and with the new year, we are entering the election in the region of seven sisters. Though BJP had won Tripura by the majority, in Meghalaya, they made government by their ‘break-n-rule NITI’ because there was a leading Congress with 21 seats. Remind BJP is running the government in Nagaland which is also not in the majority.
Let’s start talking with Tripura. The February 2018 assembly elections were significant in many ways. This was the only state in the country except for West Bengal, which was ruled by the Leftists continuously for 25 years. Manik Sarkar used to click here, but when the results came, he did everything but BJP won the ground. BJP got 35 seats whereas Leftists scored a very low 16! But Congress had not got any seats is not surprising for India. Congress is facing a big challenge to protect its reputation. Their organization in eastern India is also decaying.
Though number 24 of Lok Sabha seats seems a little in the eyes. Nagaland and Tripura contribute a total of 24 Lok Sabha seats. Out of these, the flag of the Bhartiya Jana Party is currently flying on 14 seats. If in 2024 the opposition succeeds in fighting an equal fight with the BJP.
If this happens then their importance will increase further.
This is the reason why Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid special emphasis on the eastern states in his last term itself. Home Minister Amit Shah also made a meaningful effort to bring the separatists into the mainstream.
These efforts are resulting in a positive outcome, as you saw Last week an MLA of TMC joined this ‘BHAGWA DAL’.
They know the importance of a relationship with regional parties, and tribes in this area of East India. The ‘Bhagwa Party’ will leave no stone unturned to win this election.
Congress, the oldest party which is facing the impact of loose relations in their branches, will have to fight all these together here.
Nitish Kumar, who has an advocate of opposition unity, is also eyeing these states of India , No wonder!
You saw Nitish had visited Delhi twice after leaving NDA. On past 11th of October, he also visited Nagaland. He hasn’t started touring other states yet, but there is some stir in politics.
Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s visit in august and Aditya Thackeray’s visit in the previous month to Patna were not casual. If you see through my spectacle, I will say the ‘Yadav family’ of Bihar is also in this boat.
Will any importance be given by BJP or Nitish can create trouble?
Well, we all have to wait till the election campaign starts or for some official statements of Leaders.
But signals are saying, yes Nitesh is in the mode of ‘DIL MAANGE MORE. At the last meeting of the Grand Alliance, CM Nitish said that he is not interested in the post of Prime Minister but wants aim is to uproot BJP. Additionally, he also said that he should no longer be the CM, Tejaswi Yadav has to be made the CM.
But on the other side, General Secretary KC Tyagi had said that if ‘Nitish ji does not sit in Delhi for six months, then the BJP government will be cleared.’
Doesn’t the sound emerge from both these statements that Nitish Kumar is thinking of trying his hand at national politics, pulling out of the state’s rule?
Nitish showing diplomatic behavior and hiding his actual will, but we have to wait till it confirms.
In my opinion, something big is happening in the upcoming elections, and BJP has got wind of it, so it will surely try to win the eastern state of India to make a clear path for Lok Sabha 2024!
