PM Modi launched the 5G network today at a telecom event in Delhi, 8 cities already have it.

Today at the 6th edition of India Mobile Congress PM Modi launched the much-awaited 5G service. The event was held in Delhi’s Pragati Maidan the event was held from 1st Oct to 4th Oct. The service will cover the whole of India in the next few years and is expected to change the whole digital scenario in India.
As per the chairman of Airtel Mr. Sunil Bharati Mittal, 8 cities will have the 5G service from Saturday.
As the event was inaugurated by PM Modi, he went on different pavilion sets which were set up by different telecom operators and technology companies. All of them showcased what 5G can do. PM started by going first to the Reliance Jio’s stall where he experienced the true 5G from the devices which were displayed out there.
Many big personalities were present at the event such as Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Mukesh Ambani, Sunil Bharti Mittal, and Kumar Mangalam Birla. PM Modi visited many exhibits of different companies like Airtel, Vodafone Idea, C-Dot, and many others.
There were different cases of different companies which were demonstrated in front of PM Modi. Many of these consisted of technologies like high-security routers, drone-based farming, automated guided vehicles, smart ambulances- Ambupod, and more.
The IMC (India Mobile Congress) is known as one of the biggest and largest telecoms, media, and technology forums in Asia, it is organized by the department of telecommunication (DoT), and the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI).
5G technology does not only allow low latency connection which helps to download high-quality full-length movies or videos in seconds but it also enables solutions for e-health, impressive augmented reality, multiverse experiences, and also many things like advanced mobile cloud gaming.
As per sources, officials stated that 5G can create a new opportunity for economic growth and social benefits which will help Indian society a lot. It will help everyone in the country overcome traditional barriers and achieve development, it will initiate new innovative start-ups and business enterprises that will advance Digital India’s Vision.
According to Ashwini Vaishnaw, the government has set a target given by them to cover 80 percent of the country with 5G telecom service.
The experts have predicted that if the 5G service helps to benefit the economy of India it will benefit the Indian economy by 36.4 trillion which is around $455 billion between 2024 and 2040.
