25 Dead As Bus Falls Into Gorge In Uttarakhand’s Pauri Garhwal; Rescue Operation Underway

In a significant disaster, a transport hauling around 45 to 50 individuals fell into a 500-meter gorge on Rikhnikhal-Birokhal street in Pauri Garhwal locality of Uttarakhand on Tuesday.Â
25 individuals have died in the mishap while 21 have been rescued up to this point. The bus carrying individuals from a marriage party was headed to a town in Bironkhal from Laldhang when it met with the mishap close to the Simri twist.
The mishap happened at around 7.30 pm, PTI revealed. Police and State Disaster Response Force(SDRF) groups have hurried to the mishap spot to complete salvage tasks. The Chief Minister also visited the State Disaster Management Authority office at the secretariat for an update.
