Is Orgasm Different For Men and Women?
There are various kinds of Orgasms depending upon the mood, pressure, desire, stimulations, frequency etc.
- Female Orgasm
When a woman stimulates physically or psychologically, the blood supply increases due to dilation of blood vessels within her genitals which cause the vulva to swell and vaginal walls release the fluid which make it wet.
Due to blood flow, Breasts and their nipples also change shape for a while. Breathing and heart rate increase.
Female orgasm lasts longer than male one at an average of 15-51 seconds. Women can also have further orgasms if stimulated again as there is no recovery period for them.
- Male Orgasm
When a man stimulates physically or psychologically, he gets an erection. The penis grows in size and becomes Rigid due to an increase in blood flow.
Muscles tighten, testicles increase in size, and with that, breathing rate increases.
After orgasm, the penis releases Semen, a mixture of sperm and fluid, and this process is called Ejaculation. A male orgasm lasts for 10-30 seconds.
After ejaculation, a man enters a temporary recovery phase where other orgasms are impossible. This phase is called a refractory phase, and it is different from person to person, and this period increases with the age of man.
The Difference In Male and Female Orgasm Socially?
What we discussed above was just a psychological explanation for the difference between a male and female orgasm. But do you know people treat Female orgasm as a negligible thing like it doesn’t matter if a woman while having sex is getting aroused or not?
Most women are filled with the thoughts of sex being a dirty thing to do. Enjoying sex for a woman is always taboo, even with her husband or partner. Women talking about sex are considered characterless and shameless. Sometimes, the problem is not the Sex but the gender.
Sex is always found inappropriate for women only. Society doesn’t teach boys about consent and women about their bodies. Even a mother doesn’t talk about Periods before her daughter’s first period, which may cause so much mental havoc to her. We don’t talk about women’s problems to women themselves.
Most Indian women don’t even know about orgasm, and it’s a necessity for their bodies. Sex and intimate activities on Television are different from real life, and we need to educate and aware women and men about all these things.
In this new generation, Men and women are needed to know about masturbation and sex-related necessary pieces of information so that they can maintain their sexual lives in a better way than the previous generations
