Legendary, British-born American actress, Angela Lansbury, has reportedly met her earthly demise at the age of 96. Lansbury’s family disseminated the news of her passing away at her Los Angeles residence on October 11, 2022. Lansbury “died peacefully in her sleep”, her family and loved ones said in a statement.
Born on October 16,1925, in London, England, Lansbury’s achievements over the course of her career have been notable. Her skills as an actor have won her multiple accomplishments in the public space and given her critical acclaim as well for her undeniable talent in the field of acting, both on TV and in Cinema. The actress made her debut in Gaslight (1944), a psychological thriller, where she played the role of a deceitful Cockney maidservant. Her performance in the film bagged her an Academy Award nomination for best-supporting actress. Following Gaslight, Lansbury’s next appearance was in National Velvet (1944), where she played the snooty and condescending, Edwina Brown. In 1945, Lansbury received yet another best-supporting actress nomination for her role as Sibyl Vane in The Picture of Dorian Gray.
