If you have a film to showcase or want to watch different International movies with Indian movies, you should give it a try! The festival is held annually, and this year it will be held on the western coast of the country which is Goa. It was a proud moment for India when the IFFI poster was first launched at the Cannes film festival.
It is conducted by the National Film Development Corporation of India under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and the state Government of Goa. With the philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam International Film Festival is bringing a new vision in front of people that is to be united. The motive is to promote Indian cinema in the world and also to bring world cinema to India.
How can you register yourself?
You can pre-register yourself on the official website of IFFI. There are four categories you can register in for yourself.
1) Guest registration– This is for the members of currently active cine clubs affiliated with FFI/ FFSI, ESG, and NFDC officials. Also, the employees of all government departments deputed for IFFI, PIB officials, and volunteers for IFFI.
2) Media registration– For media correspondents and the camera persons belonging to any print, digital, or online media organization and also the freelance journalists.
3) Delegate registration– In this registration, you can create a MyIFFI account and enable your own personalized MyIFFI dashboard. You can book tickets and view festival event schedules and more.
4) Film bazaar registration– If you have a special film to showcase you can register yourself under this category.
Other than these categories if you want to be in the audience you can also book tickets for yourself. Don’t worry if you want to see only one film you can also book for it, you don’t need to book for the entire festival. You can book tickets here.
What will be the schedule?
The festival will be scheduled from 20th November 2022 (Monday) to 24th November 2022 (Thursday). The event will be starting from 9 am to 9 pm with lunchtime in between. You can access the schedule here.

What are the elements to know about?
Indian Panorama
It is the flagship component of the IFFI. To promote India’s rich legacy and culture, IFFI was introduced with Indian Panorama in 1978. This helps to promote Indian Films along with Indian culture and heritage with the help of cinematic art. In this section, you can see years’ best movies differentiated by cinematic, thematic, and aesthetic excellence.

Hadinelentu (This will be the opening feature film), Akhanda, Dharmveer, Ekda Kaay Zala, Frame, Jai Bhim, Kida, RRR, Sher Shivraj, Major, The Kashmir Files, The Storyteller are some of the featuring films under Indian Panorama.
Film Bazaar
It is South Asia’s largest film market. It encourages collaboration between the South Asian and International film communities. The film bazaar is organized and also created by National Film Development Corporation. It began its marketing in the global market of films in 2007. There is an increase in participation every year in the film bazaar. Over the five days of the film bazaar, it becomes the converging point for both film buyers and sellers all over the world. Ray Poster contest
Whenever it comes to Indian cinema the first name that comes to everyone’s mind is Satyajeet Ray. Every filmmaker is inspired by his work. This Ray poster contest is a tribute to our legend Mr Satyajeet Ray, remembering his contribution to Indian cinema with his masterpiece. Participants of the contest have to envision and create their own versions of Ray’s iconic films which enables them to learn, visualize and create the vision of the master of cinema.

– The first edition of the International Film Festival of India was held in 1952 from 24th January to 1st February in Mumbai.
– It was organized by the Films Division of the Government of India. It was supported by our first prime minister of India, Mr. Jawaharlal Nehru.
– It was first held in Delhi and was inaugurated by Mr. Jawarharlal Nehru.
– It is one of the most significant film festivals in Asia. The motive of the festival is to provide a common platform for world cinema creators to showcase their work.
– It also contributes to understanding and appreciating the art and cultures of the different nations in context to their social and cultural atmosphere. Different stories with different concepts and approaches will also be seen.
