Veteran actor Kabir Bedi is currently leading headlines due to the shocking revelations that he has made in his upcoming autobiography titled ‘Stories I Must Tell
At the Sahitya AajTak event, held in Delhi, Kabir Bedi came in to promote his book- ‘Stories I must tell’, which is an autobiography capturing the ups and downs of his life. This book is his autobiography.
He addressed he wanted to write about his failures as well as his successes in it.

Guilt over the death of his son
He said Siddharth was a very brilliant young man. Suddenly he was unable to think, we tried to figure out what was wrong and for the next three years, we fought with these unknown ghosts.
Finally, he had this very violent breakout on the streets of Montreal, and it took eight policemen to nail him down. Thereafter, doctors in Montreal finally diagnosed him as ‘schizophrenic’.
He said, “I have suffered a lot of losses due to bad investments. All this happened while my son was dealing with schizophrenia”. “I tried to stop my son from committing suicide but I couldn’t and I feel guilty for it. At the same time, I went through a financial disaster. I would go to auditions and not know what to do. I lost a lot of work during that time. I was completely broken emotionally”, Bedi said.
And, how I rebuilt myself from there is part of my journey,” he added.
He opens up about his son, being diagnosed with schizophrenia. And, how he couldn’t stop him from committing suicide.
Siddharth was the first son of Kabir Bedi with his first wife Protima, who was a classical dancer. He studied at Carnegie Mellon University. In the year the 1990s, the 26-year-old was diagnosed with schizophrenia.
Thereafter, Kabir Bedi also talked about his popularity in Italy and why the lack of social media exposure worked against him. He has also opened up about his relationship in the book as he mentions a chapter in the book with Parveen Babi. He dated Parveen for a couple of years. She passed away at the age of 50, after suffering from mental illness.
