Amey Khopkar tweeted, “There are plans to release Pakistani actor Fawad Khan’s Pakistani film ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ in India. The most annoying thing is that an Indian company is leading this plan. After Raj Sahab’s order, we will not allow this film to be released anywhere in India.
‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ is a Punjabi language film and it is one of the highest budget films in history. It is a remake of Pakistani classic film ‘Maula Jatt’ starring Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan. The film depicts a fight between Noori Nutt and local hero Moula Jatt.
Notably, Fawad made his Bollywood debut in the year 2014 with Sonam Kapoor in the film ‘Khoobsurat’. Then he appeared in ‘Kapoor and Sons’ with Alia Bhatt. Her last Hindi film was ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’, which released in the year 2016.
