Chinese People’s Liberation Army intruded the tawang sector in Arunachal pradesh escalating the border tension among India-China.
On the 9th of December, Chinese People’s Liberation Army troops Intruded the Tawang sector in Arunachal Pradesh, resulting in a confrontation with the Indian army at the Line of Actual Control, said the Indian Army. Indian Troops resisted this intrusion with “firmness” and forced the Chinese troops to go back to their original position. Both Indian and Chinese soldiers suffered injuries during the clash. Injured Army personnel were sent to the hospital in Guwahati for further treatment. The Indian government is closely monitoring the situation and the development along the borders.
A recent development in the clash
The defence minister of India, Mr Rajnath Singh in Lok Sabha Told that on the 9th of December, PLA troops carried out an intrusion in the Yangtse area of the Tawang sector across LOC and attempted to change the status QUO unilaterally.
The local commander of the Indian army met with his Chinese counterpart after the clash to de-escalate the situation and to further maintain the peace in the region. This matter has been raised with the Chinese side on the diplomatic level, added the minister
The invasion of China on the border is rapidly increasing within 2-3 years of period. The reaction of China after the Tawang sector clash
After a very strong reaction from Defence minister Rajnath Singh and Home minister Amit shah, Chinese counterparts also reacted to this incident, The spokesperson of Chinese external affairs told that the situation on India- the China border is normal now. During the press conference, He responded that both countries are working to de-escalate the border-related situation through diplomatic channels.
