But the romantic life of travel also comes with expensive plane tickets and hotels, cutting deep into our travel budgets. 

There is a way to travel with fewer rules and more adventure, often at a lower price: mobile homes! Whether travelling by foot, wheel or water, take your home on the go. 

The Caravan is the new home for travellers.

The state government is also planning to promote “caravan tourism” at beaches, forts, mountain ranges, hill stations, forests and heritage sites.

Pros 

• Freedom – If you ever feel stressed out, start your engine and explore the World. It will also ensure your schedule, and you don’t have to worry about bookings, cancellations or checkouts.  
• Money-saving – It doesn’t affect your pocket more as campsites are always cheaper than hotels and homestays. A self-drive holiday will also save on trains and flights. 
• Convenience – You can carry as much luggage with you without worrying about extra money for extra baggage. Even you don’t have to take it around. 
• Safety – You can explore World without worrying about your belongings. Just lock your Caravan. All your belongings are safe and secured in it. 
• Comfort – Caravan gives you the experience of being at home with total ease. 
• Weather – Less unpleasant in wet weather than a tent. 
• Space – Plenty of storage space in the Caravan, so the car doesn’t need to be packed to the roof with food, clothes, sleeping bags and airbeds, etc. 

Cons 

• Cost – High initial cost. 
• Long drives – Makes driving between accommodations a bit more complicated. 
• Somewhat increased fuel consumption. 
• Expensive – Ferry fares are more expensive. 
• Unusual roads – Some (very steep/narrow) roads are impractical to tow a caravan on. I need to drive a bit slower, particularly on hilly terrain. 
• Need somewhere to store it between holidays.
