The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), Admit Cards for the candidates are available to download from January 15, 2022.
The GATE examination is a primary test used to measure the comprehensive understanding of Under Graduate Students in Engineering and Science.
GATE opens the pathway for students to take admission in India’s most eminent and prestigious institute known as the Indian Institute of Technology, commonly referred to as IIT.
Valid GATE scores are also considered for the recruitment process of some of the Public Sector Companies commonly referred to as PSUs.
The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, and six others: Mumbai, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Chennai, Roorkee, and IISc Bengaluru.
How to Download GATE Admit Card?
- Visit GATE 2022 Official Site (iitkgp.ac.in)
- Click on Login.
3. Candidates can use Enrollment ID or Email Address and Password for Login.
4. Tick the check box for acknowledgement and Put your Full Name as you filled in GATE Application Form.
5. Last click on Download Admit Card for Paper 1 or Paper 2 (if opted for Two Papers).
The admit card consists of information regarding
- Registration Number
- Name
- Gate 2022 Paper
- Date of Examination
- Date of Examination
- Time of Examination
- Photo ID
- ID Number
- Examination Center Code and Address
Instruction to the GATE Candidates
- A printed copy of the Admit Card must be presented for verification and valid photo identification proof mentioned in the GATE Admit Card.
- A4 sized paper should be used for printing Admit Card.
- The candidate must report at least 90 minutes before the commencement of the Examination to the examination venue.
- Candidates will be permitted to occupy seats 60 minutes before the Examination.
- Candidates will be allowed to read instructions 20 minutes before the start of the Examination.
- No entry is allowed into the exam centre after 30 minutes of commencement of the Examination.
- Candidates are not allowed to leave the examination hall before time.
- Personal calculators, wallets, mobile phones, or electronic devices are allowed into the examination hall.
- Candidates will be provided with scribble paper. But they have to bring their own pen/pencil.
- Violation of any guidelines will lead to the cancellation of candidature, and legal action will be taken.
Guidelines for Covid-19:
- If any candidate has a runny nose or cough or has a temperature higher than 99.7oF will be taken to the isolation area for Examination.
- Candidates having Covid-19 or who came into contact with someone having Covid-19 or have any infectious disease will not be allowed.
- Candidates bring masks and sanitizer’s.
Gate 2022 Examination schedule
The Examination will be held for four days. Per day two session Forenoon and Afternoon Session.
- The forenoon session will be from 09.00 am to 12.00 pm
- The Afternoon Session will be from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm
