The mega-hit south Indian movie “RRR,” directed by SS Rajamouli and which has been making waves in Hollywood, was screened today, specially by actor Priyanka Chopra Jonas.

RRR Screening In US
The fictional pre-Independence story “RRR” centers on Alluri Sitarama Raju (Charan) and Komaram Bheem, two real-life Indian rebels of the 1920s (Jr. NTR). Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt both make special appearances in the film. Recently, RRR made India proud and won two awards at the 28th Critics’ Choice Awards at a ceremony held in Los Angeles, one for the best foreign language film and the other for the best original song. Naatu Naatu by Kala Bhairava, MM Keeravani, and Rahul Sipligunj beat out performances by Rihanna, Lady Gaga, and Taylor Swift.
That evening, Rihanna happened to attend the awards ceremony, and as she left, she wished the RRR crew well. The song is also on the Oscar longlist. In Los Angeles’ ceremony, SS Rajamouli met filmmaker Steven Spielberg, whom he described as “God” in an Instagram post that featured pictures of their encounter at a Hollywood party in the US. Sharing their pictures, he had written in his Instagram caption, “I just met God!!!” Earlier, Rajamouli had met James Cameron in the US and shared their photos.
He had tweeted on January 16: “The great James Cameron watched R.I.P. He liked it so much that he recommended it to his wife, Suzy, and watched it again with her. Sir, I still cannot believe you spent a whole 10 minutes with us analyzing our movie. As you said, “I AM ON TOP OF THE WORLD.” Thank you both.
Priyanka Chopra Supporting RRR
On Tuesday, January 17, actor Priyanka hosted the screening of RRR in the US and contributed to the journey of the movie. Later she took to her Instagram and shared a picture of her with SS Rajamouli and MM Keeravani from the event where she spoke about the movie on the stage in her stories and wrote “Least I can do to contribute to this incredible Indian film’s journey.
