Cardi B, one of the most famous American Rappers appeared on the 65th Annual Grammy Awards red carpet in a drop-dead gorgeous gown designed by Indian fashion designer Gaurav Gupta.
Belcalis Marlenis Almanzar, popularly known as Cardi B (her stage name), arrived at the Grammys pre-awards ceremony on Sunday evening in an elegant royal blue sculptural 3D dress along with a trail and a headgear over one eye.
Gaurav Gupta is a Delhi-based designer popularly known for his experimental designs, especially 3D looks. Gaurav shared some splendid photos of Cardi B through his official Instagram handle. Cardi B was seen striking a pose for the photographers at the 2024 Grammys.
Gupta captioned his Instagram post stating, “@iamcardib in custom Gaurav Gupta Couture at Grammys 2024. Thank you for this electrifying moment, Kolin Carter and Hema Bose.” Cardi B also shared some pictures through her official Instagram handle and captioned, “True Blue.”
GAURAV GUPTA AND HIS DRESS DESIGNS
Indian fashion designer Gaurav Gupta launched his label in 2005, after completing his graduation from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design.
For the past 18 years, the couturier has engraved a fashion world that is Indian at its heart and limitless in its form of mixing ethnic Indian sculpting and garnishing techniques keeping in mind his future idea.
He is best characterized as future indigenous, the dress-maker’s designs are an arrangement of what was, what might be, and have been glorified as the ‘Rule Breaker’, ‘Future of Couture’, and ‘Ecopolitan Designer of the Year.’Â
Gaurav Gupta has been rewarded at various prestigious platforms among which some are Altaroma Altamoda, Makuhari Grand Prix, and Mittelmoda.
Last year, Gaurav Gupta designed a dress for American rapper Meghan Thee Stallion for the occasion of the 94th Annual Academy Awards. The rapper was seen walking the red carpet in the metallic blue strapless dress that draped her hourglass figure very well and also gave a floor-sweeping element at the end.
In 2022, YouTuber, comedian, Actress, and television host Liza Koshy flaunted fashion designer Gaurav Gupta’s piece at the red carpet event of the 75th Festival De Cannes. The dress displayed stunning three-dimensional artwork and was another of Gupta’s iconic sculpted dresses.
On Cannes 2022 red carpet, Italian actor Catrinel Marlon appeared in one of the iconic designs by Gupta. She wore a beautiful Emerald Shell Sculpture Gown which was green in color. This dress represented the radiance of the Abalone.
Not only at fashion, but Indians are also shining at music. Ricky Kej, an Indian music composer and producer also won a Grammy award, which is his career’s third. One of his albums ‘Divine Tides’, was nominated for the Best Immersive Audio Album category. This song was Kej’s collaboration album with Police drummer Stewart Copeland.

As far as the Grammy is concerned, according to Variety, Beyonce is standing at the top with nine nominations at the 2024 Grammy Awards. She won four trophies on Sunday and became the most-awarded solo artist in Grammy history, standing alone on the throne. She broke the record of the late Hungarian-British conductor Georg Solti.
Kendrick Lamar stands second with the nomination in eight categories, while English singer Adele and American singer Brandi Carlile both received seven nominations.
Singers like Future, Mary J. Blige, Harry Styles, Randy Merrill, and DJ Khaled all received six award nominations. Harry styles won the Album of the year.
