The list of all-time blockbusters films re-releasing this week is Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995), Titanic 3D (1997), and Jab We Met (2007).
Apart from the all-time blockbusters, the film Tamasha (27th November 2015), directed by Imtiaz Ali, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone in the leads, and Me Before You (3rd June 2016), starring Emilia Clarke and Sam Clafin as the leads, and directed by Thea Sharrock, are also re-releasing on selected screens.

Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995)– Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (The Big Hearted will take the bride) also denoted as DDLJ is a 1995 Hindi language musical romantic film. DDLJ is directed and written by Aditya Chopra, it was his directorial debut which was produced by his late father Yash Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films (YRF). The film stars Shahrukh Khan, Kajol Amrish Puri, Farida Jalal, Anupam Kher, Satish Shah and Mandira Bedi.
The film was released on 20th October 1995, and it is one of the longest-running films in the Indian cinema which is also referred to in the book called 1001 movies to watch before you die, and was placed 12th on the British Film Institute.
The film is still running in the cinema Maratha Mandir, in Mumbai to date, and it has become an emotion for the audience, but the DDLJ fans have got yet another good news as the film is re-releasing this week in multiple cinemas.
DDLJ was recently released on big screens on the birthday of superstar Shahrukh Khan on 2nd November 2022, and the fans have one more chance to experience the epic love story on big screens this Friday.
Titanic (1997)- The film was highly inspired by the Novel and the film of the same name ‘A Night to Remember’ (1958). The all-time blockbuster and the highest-grossing film ever helmed by James Cameron under 20th-century Fox Studios.Titanic is re-releasing this Friday in the 3D format.
The plot of the film revolves around the sinking of the world’s largest ship RMS Titanic on the night of April 14th, 1912, and one of the most tragic and disastrous love stories of Jack and Rose. The film was re-released on April 4th, 2012, in the 3D format to commemorate the centennial of the sinking.
Actress Kate Winslet, was injured several times during the shoot. Director James Cameron, actually dived 12 times into the ocean, to witness the real Titanic ship, and found the experience emotionally overwhelming. Most of the film was shot in a pool to create an ocean-like experience with approximately 120 tons of water.
The film will mark its 25th Anniversary in 2024, and it’s back on the big screens to celebrate its 25th year. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Kate Winslet and Billy Zane it’s the most commercial and successful film of all time and the film has many accolades in its name.
Jab We Met (2007)- Jab We Met is a Hindi language romantic comedy film directed and written by Imtiaz Ali, and the film was produced by Shri Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Banners. It was released on 25th October 2007.
Starring Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor as the leads, the plot of the film revolves around a depressed wealthy businessman Aditya Kashyap and a carefree young woman Geet, their lives changes for good when they encounter a train journey. The album of the film was the best chartbuster of the year 2007.
Kareena was the director’s Imtiaz Ali first choice for the role of Geet, and Shahid was selected by Imtiaz only after a meeting with him, as Imtiaz thought that Shahid has been through a lot of struggles in his life and he would be perfect for the role of a young, mature and quiet guy. Actors Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor were dating off-screen during Jab We Met.
