These meetings have been organized by the union minister of health to assess the country’s Covid-19 predicament.
He has previously requested states to keep an eye on medical oxygenation infrastructure problems at a meeting of this type.
About the Review Meeting by Health Minister
The states are Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Delhi, Ladakh, Uttar Pradesh, and Chandigarh and UTs that will participate in the virtual engagement.
Health Minister Mansukh Mandavia previously recommended states and UTs keep an eye on medical oxygen infrastructure issues during a review meet with them.
He also requested that teleconsultation hubs be established in each area, as well as an emphasis on widespread awareness of available infrastructure and healthcare services. Health Minister Mansukh Mandavia has been conducting such meetings to assess the situation with Covid-19 in different sections of the country.
Some of these sessions were held with a specific set of states where the rate of virus-positive dissemination was higher than in other areas of the country.
In recent months, India has seen an increase in coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases, particularly after the appearance of the novel Omicron variety. Vaccine resistance is thought to be higher in the highly modified strain.
COVID-19 Situation in India by Health ministry
Prime Minister Narendra Modi evaluated the country’s pandemic situation earlier this month, ordering officials to establish appropriate healthcare infrastructure at the district level and speed up the vaccination campaign for teenagers in mission mode.
The Prime Minister also stated that
intensive containment and active surveillance should be maintained in clusters with higher case counts. States with higher case counts should receive technical assistance.
In the meantime, India reported 3,06,064 new Covid-19 cases on Monday, down roughly 28,000 from the previous day. According to the Union Health Ministry, the country’s positive rate has risen to 20%.
According to the government, India’s active caseload is 22,49,335 cases, accounting for 5.69 per cent of all topics.
Mansukh Mandavia had advised these states to make effective use of the ECRP-II cash for improving health infrastructure across the country and asked them to make solid physical infrastructure preparations.
Meanwhile, India recorded a significant drop in new Covid cases on Monday, with 3,06,064. The country’s aggregate Covid death toll has risen to 4,89,848 with the addition of 439 deaths in the last 24 hours.
