On Monday, the Met Gala 2024 was held, and since then, social media has been overrun with images and videos of the famous people that attended and looked amazing. The theme for this year’s Met was Karl Lagerfeld : A line of beauty. The dress code was in “Honour of Karl” and celebrated his work, who created designs for several fashion labels, including his own label, Patou, Chanel, Balmain, Fendi, Chloe. The show saw Andrew Bolton, the Wendy Yu Curator in Charge at the Costume Institute, analyse Karl Lagerfeld’s (1933–2019) creative output.

Celebrities from all around the world were spotted embracing the theme. Others dug deep into his archive and used vintage pieces to honour the late designer Lagerfeld’s legacy, while some paid tribute by copying his iconic designs. Celebrities that make heads turn on the carpet and stole the show.
Alia Bhatt, who made her debut this year on the carpet was seen in Chanel’s bridal look, which was inspired in particular by supermodel Claudia Schiffer’s 1992 look. She shared pictures from the event and blessed our Instagram feeds with her stunning appearance this morning. She looked nothing less than a dream in her white pearl gown designed and styled by an American designer Prabal Gurung.

Priyanka Chopra, who returned to the Met this year, was spotted arriving in a black gown and white gloves to complete her ensemble. She was accompanied by her husband, the well-known musician Nick Jonas, who wore a classic black suit and white shirt to twin with his wife. However, the actress’s sparkling diamond necklace was the centre of attention. The 11.6 carat diamond necklace, which will reportedly be auctioned off after the event, is worth USD 25 million, according to sources and a trending tweet.

In 1997’s fall/winter ready-to-wear collection of Fendi, Rihanna was spotted wearing an oversized fur coat, showing off her stunning baby bump. Rihanna selected creamy white heels with wrap-around laces and a lovely rosette affixed to the pointed toe as her footwear. The Emily in Paris actress Lily Collins, wore a custom Vera Wang gown. She went for a custom-made black and light ivory silk ball gown with trapunto stitch elements, separate draped sleeves and a central slit on the skirt, all of which were highlighted by a silver sequin ‘KARL’ embroidery at the hem.
She decided on a diamond necklace, pair of Cartier earrings, and two rings to complete the ensemble. The look was finished with a side part in a throwback hairdo.
