Vijay Deverakonda is set to excite the audience with his upcoming power-packed boxing thriller film Liger.
The film’s shooting has been wrapped up and is set to hit the theatres on August 25 this year. According to reports, the film’s post-theatrical rights are sold to an OTT platform for a whopping price of 65crore, the highest for a South Indian Film so far.
Along with Vijay, Ananya Pandey is leading the film. The movie will feature America’s former professional boxer, Mike Tyson.
‘Liger’ is Puri Jagannadh’s first-time collaboration with Vijay Devarakonda. Directed by Puri Jaganadh, the film is about a street boy who rises to become an MMA fighter from the streets of Mumbai.
Devarakonda will be seen in the mass avatar. The film will be a Pan India release,’ Liger’ is produced by Puri Jagannadh, Charmy Kaur, and Karan Johar under the banner of Puri Connects in collaboration with Dharma Productions.
Vishnu Sharma would be the Cinematographer, and Mani Sharma composed music. The film will launch Vijay Deverakonda in the pan-India business.
Apart from Liger, fans are eagerly waiting for RRR, directed by S.S. Rajamouli, slated to release on March 25 this year.
