Yesterday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah held a roadshow in Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh along with Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya. People raised BJP flags. The roads were also decorated with BJP flags and balloons.
The 4-km long roadshow traveled through Allahapur, Matiyara road, Alopibagh, Madhwapur, Baihrana, Kotha Parcha, Ram Bhawan, Sulaki crossing, Bahadurganj, and Loknath areas. Amit Shah has been on a campaign trail for BJP for the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections. He addressed an election rally in Raniganj where he said that BJP and its allies would win the assembly elections by more than 300 seats.
“I have traveled across UP, and now I have come to Prayagraj. I have witnessed immense support for the BJP from the public. We are again aiming to come back to power by winning over 300 seats,” Shah said.
He went to praise UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s efforts to improve law and order in the state, the infrastructural development, and the provision of 24-hour electricity to the people.
“People are happy with the development. Farmers, as well as poor people, are attracted to PM Modi’s schemes. Yogiji has very efficiently made these schemes reach the bottom rung of society.”
Shah also targeted leaders of the Samajwadi Party and the Bahujan Samaj Party in his speech. “Bua our Babuwa (aunt-nephew) have ruled UP for 15 years but could not even build toilets for the poor. While BJP has constructed toilets for 2.61 crore poor houses.”
