On 2 March 2022, Sony released the official teaser for the highly anticipated film Bullet Train. Directed by David Leitch from a screenplay by Zak Olkewicz, the action-comedy promises a bumpy ride on the fastest train in the world. The movie is set on the backdrop of the life of “Ladybug.”
A trained killer named “Ladybug” has a wish to give up the life they are living but is yet pulled back into the game by their handler Maria Beetle. The peculiar job that has been given to Ladybug is to collect a briefcase on a bullet train that is running from Japan to Morioka. Once ladybug boards the train, he realizes the presence of other assassins. If this does not seem too attractive, then how about we say that all the objectives of the assassins on-board are inter-connected with one other.
The film includes a star cast comprising of- Brad Pitt as Ladybug, Joey King as Prince, Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Tangerine, Brian Tyree Henry as Lemon, Andrew Koji as Kimura, Hiroyuki Sanada, Michael Shannon, Benito “Bad Bunny” Ocasio, Zazie Beetz as Hornet, Masi Oka, Logan Lerman, Karen Fukuhara, Sandra Bullock as Maria Beetle, Pasha D. Lychnikoff and Miraj Grbić. Some reports suggest that Lady Gaga was considered for the role of Maria Beetle. Unfortunately, due to a scheduling problem with her Oscar-nominated “House of Gucci”, she had to miss the role.
The film has been built around the international bestseller novel Maria Beetle which is also known as Bullet Train by Kotaro Isaka. The trailer of the movie is giving the audience an action-comedy vibe, and what better duo of the genre can the public expect when the name Brad Pitt pops up. The audience is quite zealous in watching brad Pitt as the protagonist and the sole charm of the picture. Nevertheless, the public has high expectations from this movie and has a hope that it turns out to be a complete entertainment package.
