The India bloc’s sub-committee has released a list of news anchors. These news anchors will not send their representatives to any press meetings of the opposition part. he decision was one of the pertinent decisions taken by the committee. They have mutually decided to avoid attending these shows as panellists. The meeting was on the 13th of September at the residence of Sharad Pawar in New Delhi.Venugopal, the general secretary of Congress, announced in an official press meeting. The Congress spokesperson, Pawan Khera, released the list on Twitter. He added that they had to make this decision with a heavy heart. He denied hatred or personal vendetta against any of these anchors. Khera said that the committee does not hate anyone they love their country more. These anchors are accused of making memes, misrepresenting their statements of the ministers, and spreading rumours. These activities have led to hatred and violence in our society.

They have urged the opposition to withdraw their decision because it violates the ethics of democracy and press freedom. The Freedom of the Press in India is legally protected, by the Amendment of the Constitution in India. The Indian Penal Code covers all the crimes related to the media.According to data by the Reporters Without Borders, India is among the five most dangerous countries in the world after Mexico and Afghanistan. A report by Unesco has stated that 45 journalists were killed in the last 10 years in India. The decision by the opposition reminds us about the period of emergency. The freedom of the press was taken away and the media became a tool for propaganda.

Aaj Tak Anchor Sudhir Chaudhary said that the journalists refused to lick the feet of the opposition. He said he is waiting for the Indian Media to answer.
Aman Chopra said that since his case with Hamid Ansari, he has been carrying the label of boycott. He added that it is a matter of pride for any journalist to wear this label.
Anchor Rubika Liyaquat said that the decision is the fear of the opposition. They are scared of answering questions and are running away from these questions. She added that she does not believe in being a yes-man and will never do so in the future.

BJP president JP Nadda said that the history of Congress has many instances of bullying the media and shutting down people with different views. He mentioned Indira Gandhi and her strategies to control the media during an emergency.He added that Sonia Gandhi had banned social media handles because Congress disapproved of her views.
