Take a look at the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s “Miss Marvel” featuring the first onscreen Muslim Superhero, which will stream on Disney Plus on June 8.
Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani), a Pakistani-American who is a die heart fan of Captain Marvel, is going to be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Miss Marvel is one of the many Marvels Cinematic Universe shows coming to Disney+ this year. Along with the Marvel universe, Disney also revealed a trailer for the series.
In the Series, Kamala gains cosmic powers of her own, such as super strength and the ability to change shape, seemingly through the mysterious Bracer. On top of becoming a superhero, Kamala has to deal with these more ordinary aspects of life as a teen, including high school, crushes, career counselling, and parenting. It’s not too much of a spoiler to say.
Where Kamala from the comics gains her powers after being influenced by the Terrigen Haze, but the trailer reveals that the MCU Kamala will acquire them as a magic bracer. While we see that this Kamala still has the ’embedding’ powers we are familiar with (allowing her to change shape and gain super strength), it seems that the MCU version also gains the ability to create cosmic material that she Can throw, walk or use as a shield.
The trailer also gives us a glimpse into her high school life, the object of her affection, home life, and confirms that the character remains a practicing Muslim in the MCU. The show’s antagonists are less clear, with only vague shots of who she would fight with and why.
According to Deadline, Kamala is an avid gamer and a sizable fan-fiction writer. – Especially when it comes to Captain Marvel. Yet Kamala feels she doesn’t fit in at school and sometimes even at home unless she’s got superpowers like her idols.

The character will be familiar to those who’ve read the comics or played Marvel’s Avengers. She’ll also be a part of The Marvels, which is scheduled to hit theaters on February 17th, 2024. Whether you prefer your Marvel stories in the comic books or on the big screen, 2022 has a lot to offer superhero fanatics. This year will bring with it tons of MCU sequels, a new wave of Disney+ shows.
2022- A Marvel Year
On March 30th Moon Knight, starring Oscar Isac will debut. All the MCU shows that were previously exclusive to Netflix — including Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage — will arrive on Disney+. It is great news for Marvel fans.
The cast of Ms. Marvel also includes Travina Springer, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Aramis Knight, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapoor, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Nakli, Azhar Usman, and Nimra Buka.
Notably, Farhan Akhtar, who was rumoured to be appearing in the series, was not seen in the trailer, nor was Fawad Khan, who had earlier confirmed that he would be seen in the series. When it comes to superhero films, Marvel has been a dominant cinematic.
To the superhero universe, Marvel is the favourite in the US, with 28 states being the most searched for the franchise. Californians are the biggest Marvel fans, with over a thousand searches a year.
Marvel’s cinematic efforts have produced some of the biggest films of the 21st century, including the Avengers series, Black Panther, and Spider-Man. More recently the franchise has launched Wanda Vison and The Winter Soldier Show and The Falcon show, which may have swept the votes in several other US states, including Alabama, Hawaii, Florida, and Wyoming.
