Details and Reflection: This photograph shows Mother Teresa in her prayer at Kolkata in 1995. This photograph is in black and white as it was captured in 1995. In a way, it is more appealing as we observe the scene to be solemn. The lighting is not observed and the composition seems to be perfect as the prayer gesture is clearly understood through the picture.
2. Danish Siddiqui- New Delhi
Danish Siddiqui is the most acknowledged photojournalist of India, known for his courage and skill to capture authentic moments. He was the national lead for Reuters’ multimedia team.
Details and Reflection: This is a photograph of people watching a Bollywood movie which was being run in the theater for almost 15 years. The image shows us the moment of peace and presence of mind they have while they watch the movie. Showing that films can make people forget their worries and pains. Adding to this, these people are especially abled individuals, and the purity in their charismatic face is a wonder in this photograph. The composition and feel are just exactly portrayed making this picture special.

Details and Reflection: This picture is a photograph from Afghanistan captured in 2008. A girl, looking out through the window of the bus. Showing the exact mental agony and pain she feels at a very young age. The girl never thought to move apart from the place even after the glass was cracked, this maybe shows the helplessness she feels. The photograph has the right amount of light and composition to show and convey the feelings in its rightfulness.

Details and Reflection: As a photojournalist who captured war scenes, one needs to be very passionate and should have a good hang of capturing moments. Since the scenario at which the photographer is, is a place where there is a lot of chaos and fear yet the presence of mind to capture an authentic scene is what is very much acknowledged in this picture. The perception is portrayed in its true sense and the picture seems to be a record of world history. The picture gives a good visual appeal of how war creates destruction and that the human race is going against its own race, putting down the sense of humanity and empathy.

Details and Reflection: This picture is one of the most famous pictures of Steve McCurry. This is an iconic portrait of an Afghan girl which is said to be one of the greatest pictures ever created. He says that this was his first picture and he never expected it to be what it is actually today. The picture has the best exposure and the colors and feeling are blended in the right way to convey the emotions and the environment correctly. The attention given to details in the picture could be the reason why it is acknowledged far and wide today, be it the color of the eyes, the tone dress she is wearing and the painful emotion she has within herself. The background of green color is a perfect blend to words giving attention to the actual subject.

The background, foreground and middle ground details could be easily distinguished and the colors used to portray the photograph is true to its sense.

Details and Reflection: This picture shows a farmer in California riding an ATV through his vineyard to examine the grape vines. Between the vines grow oats and vetch, which keep out weeds, make home for beneficial bugs, and enrich the soil. This picture appeared in a December 1995 story about the sustainable agriculture movement. This photograph has been taken in an ultra-wide lens and has the best exposure. The man is clearly visible and the weeds in between are also paid heed of. The lines and mild curves make the composition appealing. The texture of the field could be felt by the site.

Details and Reflection: A reproduction of the Mayflower sails into New York Harbor in July 1957, escorted by boats and a blimp. The ship was constructed in England and sailed across the Atlantic Ocean, now residing permanently in Plymouth, Massachusetts. This picture there are a lot of elements included. The image is taken from an ultra-wide lens, the colors are easily distinguished, the sky and sea are adding the right composition. The picture is not too much exposed and is conveying the right perception.
