Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja are expecting a fall baby.
Earlier this week, the Neerja actress took to Instagram to announce the news of her pregnancy through a heartwarming post. The soon to be mom shared a photo of herself in a chic black bodysuit cradling her baby bump while lying on the couch with her head on her husband’s lap.
Adding the hashtags #everydayphenomenal and #comingthisfall2022 to the black and white photos, the actress wrote, “Four hands. To raise you the very best we can. Two hearts. That will beat in unison with yours, every step of the way. One family. Who will shower you with love and support. We can’t wait to welcome you”.
Well known for her incredible fashion sense, Sonam Kapoor is an Indian Film Actress known for her roles in movies like Neerja, Delhi 6 and Ranjhana. She made her acting debut alongside Ranbir Kapoor with “Savariya” in 2007. She is the eldest daughter of the forever young actor Anil Kapoor and wife Sunita Kapoor.
Sonam married her long-time beau, Anand Ahuja in a grand wedding in May 2018. Anand Ahuja is an Indian businessman who runs a sneaker boutique VegNonVeg and a fashion label named, Bhane. Ever since the couple got married, rumours about the Veere Di Wedding actress have surfaced from time to time. The latest rumour made rounds last year in July. The actress had a sassy way of rebutting that rumour. Sharing a boomerang of herself, drinking a hot drink, on Instagram, she wrote, “Hot water bottle and ginger tea for the first day of my period…”
Soon after the announcement, family, friends and well-wishers flooded the comment section with congratulatory messages. Her Veere, Kareena Kapoor commented, “Wohoooooooo soooo happy for you both. Can’t wait for the babies to play.” Dia Mirza wrote, “Such wonderful news!!! So happy for you.” Cousin’s baby sister, Jhanvi Kapoor wrote, “OH MY GOD WHAT!!!!!!” with multiple heart emojis.
Bracing himself to be a grandfather for the first time, actor Anil Kapoor took to Twitter to share his excitement. “Now preparing for the most exciting role of my life – GRANDFATHER! Our lives will never be the same again and I couldn’t be more grateful! @sonamakapoor & @anandahuja you have made us happy beyond measure with this incredible news,” the Mr India actor tweeted.

Sunita Kapoor, Anil Kapoor’s wife, reshared her firstborn, Sonam Kapoor’s post on her profile captioning it, “Of all the names I have been called am going to love being called NANI the best ❤️ Yayy! Can’t wait to be a NANI!”
Expressing her excitement, Sonam’s mother-in-law, Priya Ahuja shared a close-up photo of the on her profile with the caption, “Superly excited to be a Dadi soon. Can’t wait. Love you my Bachaas. God Bless”.
Sonam Kapoor’s last on-screen appearance was a cameo role in her father Anil Kapoor and Anurag Kashyap’s starrer AK V/S AK in 2020. Her last movie in the main role released in 2019 was Dulquer Salmaan starrer The Zoya Factor.
The couple now lives in their home in London. They visit their parents in Delhi and Mumbai from time to time.
