SS Rajamouli’s RRR expected to enter Rs 600 crores club worldwide, and the Hindi version collected Rs 107.59 crores in five days.
RRR (Hindi), directed by SS Rajamouli of Bahubali Frame, has been doing great worldwide. It is expected that it will soon surpass the collection of Bahubali: The Beginning. The film, starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan in lead roles, has crossed the Rs 100 crore mark. The other stars in the film are Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgan.
RRR (Hindi) was released in theatres last Friday with an opening of Rs 20 crore. While on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, it garnered 24 crores, 31.50 crores, and 17 crores, respectively. The film is dominating the box office in Delhi, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.
Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh on Wednesday wrote on twitter “#RRR feveRRR grips mass circuits… SupeRRRb hold… Will cross *lifetime biz* of #Rajamouli’s *first Blockbuster* #Baahubali [#Hindi] in *Week 1*… RRRacing towards ₹200 cr… Fri 20.07 cr, Sat 24 cr, Sun 31.50 cr, Mon 17 cr, Tue 15.02 cr. Total: ₹107.59 cr. #India biz.”
Jr NTR took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message that read, “All of you heaped praises on RRR and showered us with love since the film’s release. I would like to take a moment to thank everyone who made RRR, a landmark film in my career, possible.
Thank you Jakkanna for inspiring me to give my best. You truly brought out the best in me and made me feel like water, versatile. Charan, my brother, I can’t imagine acting in RRR without you. No one else could have done justice to the role of Alluri Sitarama Raju. Not only RRR, but Bheem would have been incomplete without you. Thank you for being the fire to my water.”
It is SS Rajamouli’s third film to cross Rs 100 crore. The other two films are Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion. RRR is a fictional story inspired by Telugu freedom fighters Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem.
