Due to an increase in the number of new cases (517), Delhi has seen an increase in the daily COVID-19 case positive rate in the last few days.Â
According to the latest statistics from the Union Health Ministry, India recorded 2,183 new coronavirus infections on Monday, bringing the total number of Covid-19 cases to 4,30,44,280, while the number of active cases decreased to 11,542, according to the data. Â
According to the most recent statistics available at 8 a.m., the death toll has increased to 5,21,965, including 214 new deaths. According to the ministry, active cases represent 0.03 percent of all infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate has stabilized at 98.76 percent over the last year. Â
In the last 24 hours, the number of COVID-19 cases that are still active has gone down by 16.Â
According to the Ministry of Education, the daily positivity rate was 0.83 percent and the weekly positivity rate was 0.32 percent. People who have recovered from the sickness now number 4,254,10,773, but the death rate has increased to 1.21 percent, as per the latest statistics.Â
In India, after 11 weeks of decreasing COVID infections, the caseload has risen once again this week, increasing by 35% when compared to the previous seven-day total. An increase in the number of illnesses was observed in many states, including Delhi, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh. Â
However, even though there were still a large number of COVID cases, the increase was concentrated in just three states. Following the publication of a piece in The Times of India, the country saw more than 6,610 new cases in the week ending on Sunday, up from 4,900 cases in the week before that.Â
Meanwhile, as a consequence of COVID-19, the number of fatalities in the nation has continued to fall, with just 27 new deaths registered over the last week. 54 deaths were recorded last week, with 13 of them happening in Kerala.Â
On Monday, three senior citizens with underlying medical issues died as a result of COVID in Shanghai for the first time since the commencement of the city’s weeks-long lockdown, according to the local authorities. As per the statement released by the city on social media, the three patients developed serious conditions and died after all attempts to revive them failed. Â
According to local health department statistics, 517 new COVID-19 cases were reported on Sunday, 56 more than the previous day. The positive rate for the virus was 4.21 percent, and there were no confirmed deaths. Â
With the addition of these additional cases, the total number of infections in the city has increased to 18,68,550, while the total number of deaths has reached 26,160.Â
