Shammi Kapoor’s Son Reveals Actor Didn’t Inform Him about Neila Devi’s Engagement Following Geeta Bali’s Death
Aditya Raj Kapoor, the late actor Shammi Kapoor’s son, recently discussed his father’s private life. Aditya Bali is the son of Shammi and Geeta Bali. By the time Aditya was nine years old, his mother had died. Shammi fell in love with Geeta and married her. However, she died in 1965 at the age of 34 from smallpox.
Aditya explained to The Times of India how Geeta’s loss prompted Shammi to seek out someone who might act as a mother figure in his children’s lives. Aditya revealed that the veteran actor considered proposing to actress Mumtaz. Shammi is one of the actors Prithviraj Kapoor’s sons. Raj and Shashi Kapoor were his brothers.
What was the nature of Aditya’s connection with his father Shammi?

Aditya was candid about his relationship with his father Shammi.
Everyone knows that Shammi Kapoor’s first love was actress Nutan. Aditya concurs as well. Aditya states that he is aware of the relationship between Shammi and Nutan, but this was before he married my mother, Geeta Bali.
They were both somewhat inexperienced at the time. That may not have been the greatest line of action. Nadia entered Shammi Kapoor’s life following Nutan. Regarding Nadia, Aditya stated that he believes the two of them were not serious about each other. At the time, my father was a relatively young man
I believe he was incapable of making any decision at the time. Following that, singing Bali became a part of Shammi Kapoor’s life. Geeta Bali, on the other hand, died at the age of 34, leaving Shammi Kapoor alone once more. Following Geeta Bali’s demise, actress Mumtaz entered Shammi Kapoor’s life.
Both desired marriage but were unable to do so. Mumtaz was at the height of her career at the time, but according to some sources, Shammi wanted Mumtaz to stop working and focus on her children, which Mumtaz refused to do. Bina Ramani became Shammi Kapoor’s supporter following the demise of Mumtaz.
According to legend, Bima Ramani resembled Mumtaz. Aditya stated that his father’s connection with Bina Ramani was brief and formal. At the time, being a single father with two children was not an attractive proposition. However, it has evolved into ‘yours, mine, and ours.
Aditya and his sister Kanchan were looked after by their aunt Krishna following Geeta Bali’s death. Both were quite young when Geeta died, and Shammi Kapoor was looking for a woman who could look after her children. Shammi Kapoor married Neela Devi one day and her children were unaware.
This was revealed by Aditya himself. Aditya stated that he was not informed about his father’s marriage to Neela Devi. They were married the following morning. At the time, he was thirteen years old. When he saw him later that evening, he introduced Neela Devi, claiming she was their mother.
It was quite straightforward. He approached her and hugged her and was overjoyed. It was incredible that he was able to obtain the mother. Neela Devi, his second mother, is a lovely lady. She had resolved never to have children of her own.
