According to statistics from the Union Health Ministry, which were updated on Friday, India recorded 3,545 new COVID-19 positive cases in a single day, bringing the total number of cases reported so far to 4,30,94,938, while the number of active cases decreased to 19,688. Â
Among the most recent data available at 8 a.m., the death toll has risen to 5,24,002, with 27 additional deaths. According to the Ministry of Health, 0.05 percent of all infections were active, with a COVID-19 recovery rate of 98.74 percent in the country.Â
The daily optimism rate was 0.76 percent, while the weekly positivity rate was 0.79 percent, according to the survey. In a single day, India’s active number of cases decreased by 31.Â
According to reports, the National Technical Advisory Group on Immunization (NTAGI) has suggested that people who need to go abroad may take the precaution shot of COVID vaccination necessary by the country they would be visiting before the nine-month waiting time is over, rather than waiting the whole nine months. Â
So far, the National Technical Advisory Group on Immunization (NTAGI) has not issued a recommendation on whether or not to decrease, from its current nine-month interval to six months for everyone, the time between their second shot and their precautionary vaccination shot.Â
According to reports, the question will most likely be raised at later sessions. As of right now, everyone over the age of 18 who has completed nine months after the second shot is entitled to get the precautionary vaccination.Â
There have been several requests to the Union health ministry for the precaution dose of the COVID vaccine for those who are required to travel abroad for employment or business obligations, admission to foreign educational institutions, participation in sports events, or participation in regional and international meetings as India’s official representative. Â
The safety measure dose of the Covid vaccine is available to those who are required to travel internationally for jobs or business responsibilities.Â
Maharashtra crossed the 200-mark for the first time in more than a month on Thursday, when 233 new coronavirus cases were registered. Mumbai alone reported 130 new cases, or more than 60% of the total, out of a total of 233 new cases.Â
The state of Maharashtra presently has 1,109 coronavirus patients who are actively seeking treatment in hospitals and other medical centres. The total number of COVID-19 cases in the state increased to 78,78,596, while the death toll remained at 1,47,845.Â
On Wednesday, the state registered 188 coronavirus infections, with zero deaths reported.Â
The districts of Nandurbar, Jalgaon, Latur, Hingoli, Osmanabad, Amravati, Akola, Yavatmal, Wardha, Bhandara, and Gondia had no active cases. Since the previous evening, a total of 173 people has recovered, bringing the overall number of recovered patients to 77,29,642. The state’s recovery rate is 98.11 percent.Â
