Akshay Kumar as Samrat in the Prithviraj trailer. On the battlefield, Prithviraj Chauhan fights Mohammed Ghori. The film is set to be released on June 3.
It was announced on Monday that the trailer for Akshay Kumar’s forthcoming film Prithviraj, which will be directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi and produced by Yash Raj Films, would be published. In the titular role of king Prithviraj Chauhan of the Chauhan dynasty, Akshay Kumar will portray him. The plot of the film will revolve around The First Battle of Tarain, in which he confronted Muhammad Ghori of the Ghurid dynasty. Manushi Chillar, a former Miss World who will be making her Bollywood debut with this film, will play Sanyogita opposite Akshay Kumar in the film. On Monday, Akshay Kumar resorted to social media to post the trailer, writing, “Shaurya aur veerta ki amar kahaani,” in reference to the film’s title. Prithviraj Chauhan ki Prithviraj Chauhan Ki (this is the story of Prithviraj Chauhan). The film will be released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. “On June 3rd, join us in celebrating Samrat #Prithviraj Chauhan with #YRF50 in a theatre near you.”
The trailer opens with Prithiviraj being anointed as the monarch of Delhi in a lavish ceremony, and it demonstrates how stories of his courage were used to win the support of Sanyogita. It also features Sanjay Dutt in the role of Prithviraj’s blind uncle. Sonu Sood appears in the film as Prithivraj’s faithful buddy Chandravardai, played by Sonu Sood. As Sultan Mohammed Ghori, Manav Vij enters the scene and declares a state of war against the capital of India, Delhi. When asked about her relationship with him, Prithiviraj confronts him on the battlefield, while Sanyogita places a garland on his statue when asked about her relationship with him.
Prithviraj is based on the Braj Bhasha epic poem Prithviraj Raso, which tells the story of Prithviraj Chauhan’s life. The film, which has been subjected to a number of delays as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, is set to be released on June 3. The film will also be released in the Indian languages of Tamil and Telugu. Sakshi Tanwar, Ashutosh, and Lalit Tiwari also appear in crucial parts in this film. Considering that we’ve seen Akshay Kumar deliver dramatic lines in previous films, he appears to be credible in the title role of Prithviraj Chauhan. In addition to Sanjay Dutt and Sonu Sood, the film features a supporting cast that is evocative of their earlier work. Manushi Chhillar, who plays Prithviraj Chauhan’s wife, Sanyogita, receives a significant amount of screen time in the trailer and is charming in the role. Actor Manav Vij plays Muhammad of Ghori in the film, which features a brief appearance by Ashutosh Rana.
