Famous Congress MP Shashi Tharoor is discharged in his wife’s death case.
In 2014 that incident happened when suddenly his wife’s body was found in a suite of hotel Leela in Chanakyapuri Delhi.
Almost 7years wait finally, the result is shown today. He thanked the judge for giving the relief.
This case was very miserable because it created lots of doubts. No charges are needed for the case.
Who is Shashi Tharoor?
Shashi Tharoor is a Congress MP Politician, Writer. He is famous for his vocabulary skills. He was formerly under the secretary-general of the United Nations and contested post for the Secretary gender in 2006.

Case Summary
Hotel Leela Palace in Chanakyapuri Delhi. In 2014 he was residing in the hotel with his wife because of some issue. That the hotel was very luxurious in Delhi.
On 17 January 2014, one incident happened when his wife’s body was found in the room and found dead. He informed the Delhi police, who recovered the body and sent for the postmortem.
Postmortem report played a different role in this case. In the initial stage, the report shows It was Suicide, and in the second report, the doctor said that it was unnatural because, on her body, some marks were found.
Such kind of injury marks.
But after the investigation finds that murder or Suicide happened because of the reason of poison. The police took cognizance of this case.
Then, after that long investigation, she found out that her husband was accused of this death case.
In 2015 F.I.R filed against him. Some charges also find that why police arrested him. In the charge sheet file, I noticed that police investigated that he was abetting her for r suicide and cruelty.
In the law different provision is provided for such offences under the Indian Penal Code. Section 498-A for husband or relative of a woman subjecting her to cruelty and Section 306 for abutment of Suicide.
Court Decision
18 August 2021, after a long investigation and every aspect, it is clear that he is not accused.
No need for any charge against him. He is discharged in the case of his wife’s death case. Special Judge Geetanjali Goel pronounced this order in a virtual hearing.
He said that he “thanked the court and an absolute torture for last seven and an-a-half-year’s and it was a great relief”.
