The Jury announced split verdict in favour of both Johnny Depp and Amber Heard in the Fairfax County circuit Court house.
The Jury awarded Johnny Depp 10 million dollars in his label lawsuit against Amber Heard. Johnny Depp won the defamation case against ex-wife Amber Heard on Tuesday. Amber quoted that she is heartbroken as she loses the case of defamation against Johnny Depp and said that it’s a setback for women.
The Jury in the dramatic legal battle announced that Johnny has successfully proven that his ex-wife had defamed him alluding to her past claims of domestic violence. ” The disappointment I feel today is beyond words”, ” I am heartbroken that the mountain of evidence still was not enough to stand up to the disproportionate power, influence, and sway of my ex-husband”, we are the two statements quoted by Amber Heard, after losing the defamation case.
She further stated, ” I am even more disappointed with what this word it means for other women. It is a setback. It sits back the clock to a time when woman who spoke up and spoke out could be publicly shamed and humiliated. It sets back the idea that violence against women is to be taken seriously.”
“I believe Johnny’s attorneys succeeded in getting the Jury to overlook the key issue of freedom of speech and ignore evidence that was so conclusion that we want in the UK”, Heard concluded. While in grief, Amber Heard claimed that she is sad as she lost the case, also she lost the right as an American that is to speak freely and openly.
Johnny Depp filed a defamation lawsuit case against Amber Heard, his ex-wife, in March 2019. Johnny Depp filed the case against a Washington Post essay of his ex-wife that she wrote in 2018, describing herself as a “public figure representing domestic abuse”.

The Jury was decided more strongly with the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star and contested the allegations of the domestic abuse. The Jury had 5 men and 2 women, as the deliberated over the case for over 3 days, and passed the verdict in the favour of Johnny Depp while awarding him with 10 million dollars as compensation and five million dollars as punitive damages.
