On Sunday, Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) suspended National spokesperson Nupur Sharma after her controversial remarks against Prophet Muhammad during on national TV debate. She has been suspended from the parties primarily membership over controversial remarks.

BJP suspending Nupur Sharma with immediate effect, stated that her remarks were contrary to the party’s position on various matters. “Your primary membership is immediately terminated and you are expelled from the party”, communication from the parties Delhi president, Adesh Gupta said. Â
Member secretary of BJP’s central disciplinary committee, Om Pathak in a letter to Nupur Sharma said, “You have expressed views contrary to the Party’s position on various matters, which is in clear violation of Rule 10 (a) of constitution of the BJP. I have been directed to convey to you that pending further inquiry, you are suspended from the party and from your responsibilities/assignments if any, with immediate effect.” Â
Bhartiya Janata Party withdrawn its hands from the controversial remarks made by their national spokesperson during a national TV debate. Also due to the disharmony caused by the controversial or the anti-Muslim remarks by Nupur Sharma, she has now withdrawn her statement and has issued an apology on Twitter, ” I take back my words if they hurt anyone’s religious sentiments”. Â

The Bhartiya Janata Party also removed it Delhi media Head, Navin Kumar Jindal after his alleged controversial remarks on the social media that triggered protests. Bhartiya Janata Party has stated that the views of both the members disrupt communal harmony. Bhartiya Janata Party disciplinary committee express the viewpoint that the remarks by Nupur Sharma were contrary to the party’s position which is clear violation of its constitution. Bhartiya Janata Party asserted and announced that it respects all the religion and strongly denounces insults of any religion or religious personality. Â
Due to her comments, Nupur Sharma has fumed a section of the society, and is getting heavy criticism from the Muslim citizens of the country. Her comments were viral on Twitter and she was subjected to online trolling. Â
During the debate on Gyanvapi, the Muslim Committee is referring the Shivling as a fountain or “Favaaraa”. In aggression, nupur Sharma in an effort to shut down the comments on the Hindu religion started angerly commenting on the Holy Quran and The Prophet Muhammad.
She quoted various statements, that in Quran, it is said that the Earth is flat and in rage convey to the other debaters that she might start mocking the statements quoted in Quran. She also quoted statement that were an insult to the Muslim religious community as she mocked over Prophet Muhammad, the founder of Islam, that he married off a girl of over 6 years and consummated the marriage when she was of 9 years of age. Â
Nupur Sharma due to her comments faced a deluge of threats. Has been receiving multiple death threats from social media. Even some Islamic members are threatening her for beheading. Â
The party general Secretary Arun Singh stated that the party is strongly against any ideology which demeans any section or religion. The BJP does not promote such people or philosophy, he said. Â
The controversial remarks by the Bhartiya Janata party members created social and communal disharmony, due to which on Friday clashes broke out in Uttar Pradesh Kanpur when members of two groups threw stones at each other over a call to shut down the market. People protested against the anti-Muslim remarks of nupur Sharma, in the context of the controversy over the Gyanvapi issue. Â
In her aggression, while the other debaters favouring the Muslim community statements that the Shivling found in the Gyanvapi complex is a fountain as it’s having a hole and started demeaning the Hindu religion faith, Nupur Sharma started using anti Muslim comments and quoted the debaters.
“During the thousands of years of history of India every religion has blossomed and flourished. The Bhartiya Janata Party respects all religions. The BJP strongly denounces insult of any religious personalities of any religion”, claimed by the Bhartiya Janata Party’s General Secretary Arun Singh. Â
There were various posts on social media where the Shivling was compared to various disrespectful and Nupur Sharma started using agitating comments as to shut down those mocking comments disrupting Hindu religious beliefs.Â
India’s Constitution gives right to every citizen to practice any religion of his or her choice and to honour and respect every religion, Arun Singh said.Â
“As India celebrates 75th year of its Independence, we are committed to making India a great country where all are equal and everyone lives with dignity, where all are committed to India’s unity and integrity, where all enjoy the fruits of growth and development,” the BJP leader said.Â
