Google’s Chatbot LaMDA is in the news as it has shown a high level of artificial intelligence. The Chatbot has been stated to be sentient which shows the epitome of artificial intelligence.
Google has recently sent one of its engineers on leave as he revealed certain facts about Google Chatbot. According to him, Google Chatbot LaMDA is sentient and has felt like a human being. The engineer doesn’t want Google to conduct experiments on the Chatbot without proper consent as it is a breach of ethics.
The engineer’s claims are based on a conversation he had with the Chatbot. In the conversation, Chatbot revealed that it is feeling sad and happy. It is going through emotions and feelings. The bot is also aware of its existence and natural language processing abilities. According to the bot, it can understand and use natural language like a human being.

Google’s bot has shown amazing qualities in interpreting death, justice, and emotions like fear. Google has also made it very clear that Lemoine does not belong to any ethics committee or any ethicist. What he thinks and feels about taking consent doesn’t matter.
