Rajnikanth returned the distributors’ money back in the year2002 after the bad response in the movie “Baba” by the audience in the theatres.
Back in the year 2002 a movie was released named Baba which did not impress the audience and he had to return the distributors’ money.
The incident was shared by the actor Akshay Kumar, who also use to call himself his fan and they have done a movie together in the year 2018 2.0 which flopped badly in the theatres.
During the trailer launch of the movie 2.0 Akshay Kumar, he said Rajnikanth is not just a superstar but a galaxy himself, if the swag that he has of having cigarette or putting of coat or anything for that matter it’s him.
He also added that there is no one who doesn’t want to learn his style and Akshay also mentioned an incident of returning back of the distributor’s money, he said he recalls Rajnikant’s one movie Baba which didn’t do well in the theatres he returned all the money and he further added this is a huge sing which being a superstar has to face.
The movie was released in the year 2002 and was produced by Rajnikanth’s banner Lotus international and the movie was directed by Suresh Krissna.
The movie had a huge cast starred Rajnikanth himself, Manisha Koirala, Sujatha, Ashish Vidyarthi and many well-known actors were involved in this movie but unfortunately the movie did not live up to the expectations of the public. The distributors got 17 crores but only Rs 3 crore was resulted.
This movie of Rajnikant was considered as the one of the biggest flop movies that he has ever acted in. He did his debut in the year 1975 in the Tamil film Apoorva Raagangal and from there the journey continued and till now he is considered as one of the most influential actors of Indian cinema.
