While the official travel plan has scheduled meetings with Union ministers, Basavaraj Bommai himself did not comment on the purpose of the visit, as he did in the past.
Sources in the Chief Minister’s Office indicated that the official motive was that Basavaraj Bommai was one of the proponents of NDA’s presidential candidate Draupadi Murmur. Bommai is probable to file his nomination on Friday.
