After months of quiet after his Supercard of Honor presentation, Ring of Honor owner and AEW President Tony Khan is begun to make some noise.
What is the most recent evidence of life? Merchandising.
ShopAEW showed a new set of ROH products in a tweet on Monday afternoon. This is the first since Khan took over the promotion.
“Check out all of the NEW Ring of Honor merchandise available on ShopHonor.com!” ShopAEW posted a tweet.
The tweet contained images of Ring of Honor t-shirts, hoodies, and caps, all of which featured the brand-new Ring of Honor logo.
The new merchandise follows the announcement of a new ROH event, Death Before Dishonor. The ROH Event will take place on July 24 in Lowell, Massachusetts.
Ring of Honor news started to circulate last week after many angles tied to ROH were aired on AEW television.
Last week on “AEW Dynamite,” Jay Lethal, Sonjay Dutt, and Satnam Singh challenged ROH TV Champion Samoa Joe to defend his title or give it up.
Since Supercard of Honor, they have been feuding. Joe made his ROH comeback to defend ROH World Champion Jonathan Gresham from an onslaught by Lethal and Dutt.
Gresham and Moriarty appeared on “AEW Rampage”, setting up a future Ring of Honor World Title fight between them.
Tully Blanchard, manager of ROH, stars The Gates of Agony (Kaun and Toa Liona) and Brian Cage, then intervened, challenging the two to a tag bout, which Gresham accepted. At this moment, it is uncertain when the match will take place.
The uneasy relationship between Serena Deeb and Ring of Honor Women’s World Champion Mercedes Martinez continued in AEW “Rampage.” Despite defeating Sierra and Laynie Luck, the two exchanged words afterward, hinting at a prospective bout between the two wrestlers.
